I came up with this system of democracy from my general interest in politics and history. I realised there were three main systems, presidential (USA), semi presidential (France) and parliamentary (British). The history I’m most interested in is both World Wars, European Colonialism and the Roman Empire.
When looking at other ancient empires such as the Ottoman, Persian, Indian, Chinese and Mongolian. I believe there is an effective range in which you can govern people and correct configuration of territory, which will have similar levels of economic output.
This is why I believe the world should be divided into ten unions, containing four large states. These four large states will have the territory and resources to support a decent sized population, economy and military capability. This is important if those states want a confederation, instead of a federal relationship within the union.
But the main reason for this idea is to stop major wars between state actors and internal conflicts within them. These large states will economically combine regional entities together and in turn support more effective defence spending.
Also, Im promoting parliamentary democracy of presidential, with the latter being more authoritarian and thus normally more corrupt because presidents are much difficult to remove compared to prime ministers. Another point is that a metropolis sized city would be developed and would be the capital of the state it was entrusted to govern.
